Who was Edwin Binney and Harold C. Smith?

i know he was a co-inventor of crayola crayons, but i need more. if anyone could provide links to any information about him, especially about his early life, and his education, id be really grateful. any information about Harold Smith and the challenges and successes they had in inventing the crayons would be helpful, and also how they're made would be nice.
