What are good snowboard brands for an intermediate rider?

Ok, I have been snowboarding for about 6 years, 2 years ago my parents bought me a Board, binding, and boot combo and its not great at all, the boots are uncomfortable and don't fit well, and i feel like its hard to make turns with the board. This year i am getting my licence so i will be able to ride more often so i want a new board, bindings, and boots, I could care less about 2011 boards cause its too exspensive for me. I want to keep it all under $450, I am an intermediate rider. Any suggestions?
