I have a Phone Problem?

I have a Samsung Blackjack 2 that im selling to a repair shop and i want to know, my upgrade is in 6 months but, my mom is letting me get a LG VU if I want one, but right now I have a Palm Centro and I hate it. I would rather have a razr. So, should I just get a razr (or something simular) or get in Vu now and wait afer my update till it brakes or something and just upgrade? I DON'T KNOW WANT 2 DO! Please help!
